HER STORY

Suzanne’S PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

The Tactical Commander

Suzanne Solsona serves as Head of Legal at Adam Soliman Law Corporation. In this executive leadership role, she directs the firm’s legal operations, oversees a team of associate lawyers, and drives the consistent implementation of the firm’s rigorous standards across both litigation and solicitor files. Suzanne acts as the tactical commander of the department: while Principal Lawyer Adam Soliman defines the high-level strategy, she ensures its effective execution on every file.

Suzanne upholds the firm’s philosophy – “We play offense, not defense”— as a standard of practice rather than a slogan. She mentors the legal team to take commanding positions in disputes, ensuring that every piece of correspondence, pleading, and negotiation is proactive rather than reactive.

A Business-First Perspective

What distinguishes Suzanne from other senior counsel is her proven track record as an entrepreneur. Before taking the helm as Head of Legal, Suzanne founded, scaled, and served as CEO of MyMayu, a local outdoor gear company with global sales and designs that changed kids’ outdoor footwear across the industry.

Her business acumen was tested on the national stage when she successfully pitched—and secured a deal—on CBC’s Dragons’ Den. This experience allows Suzanne to offer clients a rare “Founder-to-Founder” perspective. She understands that legal battles are ultimately business decisions. She doesn’t just provide legal theory; she provides commercial risk analysis, helping business owners navigate crises with the steady hand of someone who has been in the driver’s seat.

Strategic Litigation & Employment Law

In her personal practice, Suzanne specializes in Civil Litigation and Employer-Side Employment Law. She advises companies on navigating complex terminations, human rights complaints, and contract disputes. Her approach is to fortify the client’s position early, often resolving potential liabilities before they escalate into costly court battles.

As an entrepreneur herself, Suzanne thrives on assisting business leaders across all sectors, helping them establish strong employee relationships and workplace policies from the outset—fortifying their foundations for success and preventing costly disputes down the road.

When assisting clients with legal disputes, Suzanne draws on her business background to deliver client-focused, pragmatic solutions—resolving legal problems efficiently, economically, and without delay.

Professional Background

Suzanne’s legal authority is shaped by more than a decade of experience at some of British Columbia’s most respected firms. Her tenure includes roles at Harper Grey LLP, Harris & Company, and Pulver Crawford Munroe LLP, where she sharpened her expertise in insurance defense, medical malpractice, and labor and employment law. Her “Big Law” foundation equips Adam Soliman Law Corporation to deliver institutional-grade quality with the agility and responsiveness of a boutique practice.
